Paid indie shooting game

Lupinball is a premium action game perfect for passing the time with friends. This casual sports game from Craftven is a wacky twist on dodgeball as you and up to 3 other friends throw colored fireballs at each other. However, these flames don’t expire or fly off the screen; they only ricochet around. As the game progresses, more fireballs remain bouncing in-game, immediately turning the casual game into a fast-paced bullet hell.

With simple pixel art graphics, music that paces with the game, and smooth controls, Lupinbal is a deceptively simple game, but absolutely fun nonetheless—like Knockout City.

Shoot and dodge

Lupinball takes its name from the lupine or wolf-designed characters, rendered in miniaturized, arcade-style designs. This cute character design, paired with the colorful pixel art levels, make the game feel warm and cozy to play. However, as mentioned, each round gets more difficult as the bullets continue to ricochet all around. A round ends when only one player remains on screen.

In terms of its levels, it has a wide variety of themed stages, each with its own gimmicks. There is a forest stage separated by bridges or an industrial stage that shoots out flame pillars. By adding new threats, limiting player mobility, or adding features that affect the fireball trajectories, each of the levels makes every fight unique, giving the game a great amount of replayability.

If you’re looking for immersive storylines or grindy achievements to unlock, this is not that game. This was developed to let players sit down and just focus on short battle rounds that last for a couple of minutes. Unfortunately, it has a small player base so unless you can invite your friends for a multiplayer game, you’ll be playing it alone.

Simple, competitive, and addictive

If you’re looking for a fun game to play with friends, you might want to check out Lupinball. It features dated graphics that make it feel like you’re playing on an arcade machine. Still, its difficulty progression, plus the variety of stages and their respective features, make the game infinitely replayable for up to four players. However, its limited player base makes online matchmaking difficult.
